Austin Opera’s 40th Anniversary celebration
On November 15 and 16, Austin Opera celebrates its 40th Birthday Concert featuring some of opera’s most iconic showstoppers. Sarah and Ernest Butler Music Director Timothy Myers conducts celebrated arias and ensembles from Verdi’s Aïda, Puccini’s Turandot and Tosca, Bizet’s Carmen, and Wagner’s Tannhäuser and Lohengrin. Additionally, timeless classics from Bernstein, Sondheim, and other gems of the musical theater repertoire.
Joining Leah Crocetto as guest soloists are some of opera’s top voices: tenor Jonathan Burton, mezzo-soprano Zoie Reams, and baritone Malcolm MacKenzie.
