Leah Crocetto will grace the stage of the Sydney Opera House once again this summer, reprising her renowned portrayal of Aida for Opera Australia. In addition to her recent success in the role at the prestigious Metropolitan Opera just last month, Leah Crocetto also captivated audiences with her performance at OA in 2021, where she was described by critics as “a revelation”.

Davide Livermore’s remarkable production, which seamlessly merges immersive digital video with live performance, has garnered immense praise during previous runs. The AU Review hailed it as “magnificent, jaw-dropping, gasp-enticing, and lavish,” capturing the awe-inspiring nature of the staging. Sharing the stage with Ms. Crocetto, Elena Gabouri (June 19 – July 4) and Agnieszka Rehlis (July 6) will portray the role of Amneris, while Najmiddin Mavlyanov takes on the role of Radamès. Warwick Fyfe assumes the role of Amonasro, Roberto Scandiuzzi portrays Ramfis, David Parkin depicts the King, Jane Ede portrays the High Priestess, and Thomas Strong sings the Messenger. Maestro Stuart Stratford leads from the podium.

Ms. Crocetto is scheduled to perform on June 19, 21, 24, 27, 29, July 1, 4, and 6.
