Debut in Verdi’s ‘Attila’ at Teatro Petruzzelli
On April 21, 23, 26, & 28, Leah Crocetto makes her greatly anticipated role debut as Odabella in Verdi’s Attila at the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari. Featuring a brand new production by Daniele Abbado, Verdi’s historical spectacle tells of the ruthless king of the Huns and his invasion of Italy in the mid-fifth century.
Steeped in the bel canto heritage of Verdi’s early years, Henrik Nánási conducts a top-notch cast, including Alexander Vinogradov in the title role, Simone Piazzola as Ezio, Fabio Sartori as Foresto, Andrea Schifaudo as Uldino, and Dongho Kim as Leo.
Teatro Petruzzelli will host a conversation about Verdi’s Attila on Friday, April 14, at 7pm CEST, curated by Sandro Cappelletto. Admission will be free while seats last.
