On October 1 and 2, Leah Crocetto will perform as the soprano soloist in Verdi’s Requiem with the San Diego Symphony and the San Diego Master Chorale alongside mezzo-soprano Jennifer Johnson Cano, tenor Limmie Pulliam, and baritone Aleksey Bogdanov. Critically acclaimed for her interpretation of Verdi’s music, she has previously sung this monumental work with Opera Philadelphia, the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. Music Director Rafael Payare leads this moving setting of the Catholic funeral mass in the San Diego Symphony’s season-opening weekend.
