Daily Telegram: Croswell sets fall reopening shows with Leah Crocetto
As the Croswell Opera House honored its heritage with an open house Friday to mark its 155th anniversary, it also looked ahead to its future by announcing when and how it expects to return to indoor productions.
The Croswell is currently finalizing a slate of outdoor shows and concerts for the summertime, but Friday’s announcement marked the anticipated return this fall, after well over a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, to performances on the theater’s stage itself.
What the theater is billing as its “Great Big Comeback” comes Friday, Sept. 17, with a concert by internationally acclaimed soprano Leah Crocetto.
While much depends on where things stand in September regarding any COVID protocols, “we’re hoping to be able to host a full house,” said Croswell Artistic Director Jere Righter. “We’re optimistic that we will be able to come together and celebrate what the Croswell is … and what we are to the community.”
